English 353 Multicultural Literature. 

My name is Howing. Cheung is my given name and this is one of the popular given names in the Chinese community. I've been in the United States for five years. Before coming to the United States, I have studied in England for three years. During the time I was in England, I've learnt so many things that are useful for my life, such as cooking and dealing with others. I'm the only child in my family. My father works for the Hong Kong tourist department. His job is to create some functions and advertisments to promote Hong Kong, a place that has been described as the Eastern Pearl. My mother is a stock broker and she has been doing this job for more than 20 years. Therefore, she is very familiar with the stock market. Because of my mother, I'm also very interested in the stock market. That's the reason why I choose Economic as my major. My dream is working in the stock market or being an economic market analyst. Working in the New York Stock Exchange Market is my dream. I understand that this dream is very hard for me to fulfill since it's not easy for an international student working in the United States after graduating from college. If I cannot stay in the United States after I graduate, I will try to get a job in some investing banks such as Deutsche Bank and UBS in Hong Kong. Hopefully, my dream will come true. During these years in the United States, my family has already spent a lot of money on supporting me. I really want to graduate as soon as I can. However, when the graduating time comes closer, I just feel scared since I seem like still not ready to work. Being a student is free. Even though we have a lot of assignments during the semester, we can make it up if we make mistakes on those assignments. However, working is totally different because one mistake may cause us lose a job, especially working in the financial institutions. Mistake is not allowed. Therefore, I will enjoy the last semester being as a student because this may be the last moment that being as a student in my life.
